EASTWINDS CHAMBER ENSEMBLE ANNOUNCES THE 2026-2027 SEASON
October 18th – Season opener. Here is our concert program:
Sonata for Two Clarinets – Francis Poulenc
Sonata No.1 in C Minor for Horn and Harp – Frederic Duvernoy
Cinq Pieces En Trio – Jacques Ibert
Sextet in B-Flat Major, Op.271 – Reinecke
Performers are Luke Sattler, Flute, Skylar Kelley and Sharon Goessner, Oboe, Donna Bizub and Jenny Wymore, Clarinets, Mike Keegan and our new Horn Artist, Rachel Jacobson, Horns, Eric Heitkemper, Bassoon.
November 15th: This will feature both Oboe Artists Sharon Goessner and Skylar Kelley performing the Ten Blake Songs by Vaughan-Williams, with Rebecca Sadler, Soprano, and the Quartet in F Major for Oboe and String Trio by Mozart, and Divertimento in E-Flat Major for Two Horns, Violin, Cello, and Piano to be performed by Mike Keegan and Rachel Jacobson, Eva Nichols, Violin, Wendy Enters, Cello, and Teresa Perez, Piano.
January 17th: Works for horn ensemble and various combinations. Mike Keegan, Rachel Jacobson, Natalie Bakken will perform Loon Overture by Dan Schaud, with other works to include Le Jeune Patre Breton by Berlioz, and Throw Roses by composer Elyse Kahler. Rebecca Sadler will join Mike and Rachel in those performances. Mike will also perform the Notturno, Op.112 by Reinecke and Villanelle by Dukas, and will premier a solo work for horn and piano by Elyse Kahler. Teresa Perez will join Rachel and Mike on piano. Natalie will perform with Luke Sattler, Sharon Goessner, Donna Bizub, and Eric Heitkemper on a wind quintet work, TBA.
April 18th: Our final concert of the 2026-2027 season. This is a collaboration between St. Mark’s Brass and Eastwinds. Works will include Fanfare for the Common Man by Copland, English Folk Song Suite by Vaughan-Williams, a horn choir work, TBA, and another work, TBA. Mike Keegan will conduct these works.
Each concert takes place at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3515 E. Van Norman Ave., in Cudahy, WI, just south of Milwaukee. Time for each concert is 3:00 P.M. Admission is free with a freewill offering.
